Origin

The Muhororo washing station in Rwanda is led by the Rumenerangabo family. After rebuilding their lives following the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi, the family continued their mission of producing exceptional coffee while investing back into the local community through healthcare, childcare, sustainability training, livestock programs, and coffee tree distribution for farming families.

Process & Varietal

This coffee is a natural processed Red Bourbon. The natural process brings out the coffee’s deeper fruit character and syrupy sweetness, while the Red Bourbon variety helps create the balanced structure and layered complexity found throughout the cup.

Our Roasting Philosophy

We approach roasting with the belief that great coffee already carries its own identity. Our job is not to overpower it, but to reveal it. Every coffee is roasted light with intention and restraint to preserve clarity, sweetness, structure, and a true expression of origin. Inspired by the nuance and transparency often found in tea, we focus on coffees that feel expressive, layered, and evolving in the cup. From everyday drinkers to competition-level coffees, our goal is always the same: to bring forward the work, craft, and story already present inside the seed. We roast to honor the producers, the process, and the people behind every cup. All coffees are roasted in small batches every Sunday on our San Franciscan roaster to ensure the highest level of quality and freshness possible. Because of this, some orders may take a little extra time to ship. We appreciate your patience while we carefully prepare each rotation.
